India sees first CRJ700

The first CRJ700 to enter service in India entered revenue service with Air India Regional on December 17, 2007. The 70-seat jetliner was flying six days a week between Delhi in Northern India, Raipur in Central India and Vishakhapattanam in Southeast India. Load factors were reported to be a healthy 80 per cent or more.

A second CRJ700 was added in mid-January, 2008, and Air India Regional was in negotiations with lessors to acquire two more CRJ700 aircraft.
