CRJ NextGen: a sales success

Fifteen airlines have placed firm orders for 172 CRJ NextGen regional jets since the program was announced in the second quarter of 2007.

"The CRJ NextGen program gives the CRJ Series family an even greater economic edge than before," said Steven Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Regional Aircraft. "NextGen aircraft offer advantages in operating costs versus their nearest competitors which have up to 15 per cent higher trip cash operating costs. These cost benefits and the all-new interiors are compelling reasons for airlines to strongly consider the CRJ NextGen aircraft for their requirements."

"Looking at the CRJ NextGen orders to date, it is obvious that the features of the aircraft have attracted much interest from airlines," he said.
