Mr. J. R. André Bombardier joined Bombardier in 1969 as Vice President, Industrial Division. He successively held the positions of Vice President, Research and Development, Ski-Doo Division (1970), Assistant to the President and in charge of new products (1973), Vice President of Marketing, Marine Products Division (1975) and President of Roski Ltd., a subsidiary of Bombardier (1976). He became Vice Chairman in 1978.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Bombardier Recreational Products Inc.
