“At Bombardier, we believe in the fundamental values and principles listed below and recognize that they have never been more important than they are today:
- We stand firmly against racism, hatred and inequality in all forms.
- Acts of discrimination, hatred or violence will never be tolerated at Bombardier.
- We value and are committed to seeking out people with diverse ideas, perspectives, experiences and backgrounds.
- We believe that an inclusive workplace is fundamental to achieving our people and customer-centric culture.
- And, we are committed to creating a safe workplace where everyone is treated with compassion and respect.
While Bombardier has long promoted diversity and inclusion, we recognize that there is more we can and must do within our company and our local communities. We continue to reflect deeply on the ways we can best translate our beliefs into specific actions; actions that will ensure Bombardier plays a meaningful role in making our company and our industries more inclusive and equal for everyone.
Standing together with a common commitment to respect and support one another, we can truly make a difference.”

Our vision
We are a global company offering an inclusive workplace and a diverse workforce, respecting and accepting our differences so that each of us can reach our full potential.
Our mission
To create a work environment where employees feel connected to the organization; where open dialogue is free of harassment, discrimination and microaggressions; and where every employee feels empowered, respected and valued, regardless of what characterizes them.
Our engagement
In 2019, to better focus our efforts, we formalized our Diversity & Inclusion strategy and hired a manager to oversee talent and diversity management. We also held awareness campaigns for managers, including webinars on unconscious bias, and integrated diversity and inclusion content into our leadership training modules.
We are committed to providing a barrier-free and bias-free workplace. An environment that values the independence and dignity of all employees, clients and stakeholders. Our Code of Ethics is our framework for building a global foundation of practices and policies that respect and encourage individual and group differences. It is a key element of our company's success and sustainability.
We are building a work environment that reflects our vision of D&I, in which employees' differences are valued, respected and accepted through our four pillars of action.
Leading by example
We recognize and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives internally and externally. We establish controls for all executives.
Recruit
We attract, hire and onboard a diverse workforce comprised of individuals of varying gender, race, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation and other attributes.
Include
We connect people by creating formal and informal heterogeneous teams, groups or events. We welcome, guide and create a sense of belonging, allowing each individual to bring their uniqueness and strengths to contribute to organizational objectives. We adapt our policies and practices to remove systematic barriers to the diversity and inclusion we aspire to.
Develop
We ensure equal rights to career advancement and opportunities to grow within our diverse workforce. We provide support and development opportunities for all employees in order to support their career plan.
Our D&I ambassadors
Because we believe that we succeed as a company when our employees across the world thrive, we’re reinvigorating the work we do to build a truly diverse and inclusive workforce. How are we going to do that? The short answer is by building a network of ambassadors who are passionate about diversity and inclusion. All have undergone training on unconscious bias and inclusive behaviours to ensure they are equipped with the resources they need to fulfill their role as strong advocates for diversity and inclusion at Bombardier.
As part of their role, D&I Ambassadors:
- Act as a D&I resource person for other employees.
- Inspire and influence others around them to follow their lead by adopting behaviours and attitudes consistent with our vision and mission for D&I.
- Participate in working groups to identify new strategies to achieve the company's diversity and inclusion goals.
