500th Global Aircraft Enters Service with Groupe Bolloré

Bombardier’s Global aircraft family celebrated a significant milestone with the entry-into-service of the 500th manufactured Global business jet. The aircraft, a Global 6000 model, was delivered to Groupe Bolloré, a corporation based in France, during a special ceremony attended by Bombardier and Groupe Bolloré executives, as well as Bombardier employees in Montréal.

“We are delighted to mark this event with Groupe Bolloré, a true example of global corporate leadership,” said Michel Ouellette, Vice President and General Manager, Global, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “The Global 6000 aircraft has a solid reputation in the industry and is the clear leader in its segment, offering a unique combination of performance, range and cabin comfort. This aircraft provides the world’s leading companies with the ultimate business tool to make most out of their business missions.”

Founded in 1822, the Bolloré Group is one of the 500 largest companies in the world. Listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, the Group holds strong positions in all its activities around three business lines: transportation and logistics; communication and media; electricity storage and solutions. In addition to its activities, the Group manages a number of financial assets, including plantations and financial investments.

Global 6000 aircraft: The Global 6000 jet’s large cabin size and levels of comfort combined with an optional stand-up shower and the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck means it offers a perfect blend of high-speed range capability and traveler comfort. Offering the latest in technology, this intrepid jet can link Paris with Tokyo, non-stop, with eight passengers and three to four crew.* The Global 6000 business jet also blends tranquility with peace-of-mind budget protection through Bombardier's trademark Smart Services cost per-flight-hour coverage—the leading cost protection solution for the Global aircraft family.
