Bombardier Aerospace appoints new Brazilian sales representative

Bombardier Aerospace has named Ocean Air Aero Taxi Ltd. as the exclusive sales representative for its business jets in Brazil, effective immediately. Based at Congonhas International Airport in Sao Paulo, Ocean Air will represent the Bombardier Learjet*, Bombardier Challenger*, and Bombardier Global* aircraft families.

Under the agreement, Ocean Air will work closely with Bombardier’s South American sales team, headed by Fabio Rebello, regional vice president, sales, Bombardier Aerospace Business Aircraft. “When seeking a representative for our aircraft in Brazil, Ocean Air was an obvious choice,” stated Mr. Rebello. “They have an excellent knowledge of our products, and the Brazilian market. We have every confidence that they will elevate Bombardier’s presence in this country to new heights.”

A fast growing business aircraft charter company, Ocean Air has operated a Bombardier Learjet 35 aircraft since 2002 and will begin operating a Bombardier Learjet 45 XR in 2004. “We acquired our first Bombardier Learjet a year ago, and now we look forward to a successful working relationship with Bombardier in this new capacity,” said German Eframovich, president, Ocean Air.

Jose Eduardo Brandao, commercial director for Ocean Air, has 28 years of aviation sales experience and will lead Ocean Air’s representative activities, working closely with the Bombardier team.

Bombardier Aerospace has a longtime presence in Brazil, one of the world’s top business jet markets. Currently a total of 80 Bombardier business jets are based in Brazil, representing 28 per cent of the total installed base of business jets in the country.
