Bombardier Global 5000 and CRJ700 aircraft will make their first appearance at the show
Bombardier Aerospace will showcase its leading corporate jets and its CRJ700 regional aircraft on static display at Dubai Airshow 2005, from November 20-24. A full-scale mockup of the next generation CSeries family of aircraft will also be displayed.
Bombardier Business Aircraft has captured 18 per cent of all new aircraft sales in the past five years in the Middle-East, and Bombardier Regional Aircraft has supplied 45 of the aircraft now operated in the region by regional airlines, petroleum companies and other operators - including the first Middle East airline to operate the 70-seat Q400 turboprop airliner - Royal Jordanian Airlines.
"We are very optimistic about the opportunities for our jet and turboprop airliners in the Middle East and Gulf regions", said James Dailly, Vice President International Sales, Bombardier Regional Aircraft. "Airlines are faced with new pressures in meeting the economic challenges of the industry around the world and require more efficient and more economical regional aircraft. Bombardier Aerospace is the only manufacturer offering two complete families of regional jets and turboprops ranging from 37 to 90 seats. These aircraft have proven themselves in decades of cost-effective and reliable service in many parts of the world."
"This show underscores our firm commitment to the Middle East region as we continue to expand our permanent presence in Dubai ", said Bob Horner, Vice President, Sales, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "We are opening a new service facility, we are adding additional fulltime personnel and our Bombardier Skyjet operation is providing business jet charter across the region since its implementation last February."
