Bombardier Appoints Laurent Bouyer as President of Bombardier Transportation France

Rail technology leader Bombardier Transportation announced today the appointment of Laurent Bouyer as President of Bombardier Transportation France. As first point of contact for all stakeholders of Bombardier Transportation in France, he will manage relations with clients, government members, politicians as well as rail companies in the country.

In addition, he keeps his recently assigned role as Head of Continental Projects for the Western Europe, Middle East, Africa region, which covers France, Benelux, Italy, Iberia and Africa.

Throughout his 20-year career with Bombardier, Bouyer has held leadership positions in bid management and sales, as well as export and business management. In 2014, he was called to the Bombardier Transportation’s headquarters in Berlin to direct the internal transformation of the group worldwide. In France from 2008 to 2014, he was successively Project Director for AGC and the Francilien, then was promoted Vice President for French projects for SNCF and RATP.

Before joining Bombardier in 1995, Bouyer worked for Asea Brown Boveri as project manager for the Eurotram in Strasbourg.

Laurent Bouyer graduated from the EGC Institute of commercial studies in Nantes (1992) and holds a post graduate degree in Business planning from the University of Nottingham in the UK (1993). He is a reserve Lieutenant Commander for the French Navy.
