Bombardier Appoints New Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions

Today, Bombardier Inc. announced the appointment of Louis G. Véronneau as Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, effective immediately. In this position, he will oversee the Corporation’s partnerships, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on a global scale. He will also play a leading role in the preparation for an initial public offering (IPO) of a minority stake in Bombardier Transportation. Mr. Véronneau will report directly to Alain Bellemare, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining Bombardier, Mr. Véronneau was Managing Director, Investment Banking at TD Securities. In this role, he advised Canadian companies and institutions in the manufacturing, infrastructure, power and natural resources sectors on the full range of their corporate finance needs, from equity and debt financings to mergers and acquisitions.

Previously, he spent over eight years at Abitibi-Consolidated, first as Vice President and General Counsel, and then as Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development, following several years in the private practice of corporate and securities law.

He holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Montreal and a Master of Law from the London School of Economics.
