All-new aircraft to undertake Australian demo tour
Bombardier Aerospace and ExecuJet Australia are pleased to announce that the all-new super-midsize Bombardier Challenger* 300 business jet will make its Australian debut on March 1, and will tour the country on a series of demonstrations to potential buyers, pilots and media over the course of three days.
Bombardier Challenger 300 s/n 20005 will arrive at Sydney International Airport following a week at Asian Aerospace 2004, where it is presently on static display.
In early January, the Bombardier Challenger 300 became the first purpose-built aircraft to enter service in the emerging super-midsize market segment, when it joined the Bombardier Flexjet fractional ownership program. As of February 20, four Challenger 300 aircraft were in Flexjet service and had flown over 500 hours.
“With entry into service, we are seeing growing interest in the Bombardier Challenger 300 from Australian operators, who have long favoured Bombardier’s widebody Global Express and Challenger 604 aircraft,” notes David Dixon, regional vice-president, sales, Asia-Pacific, Bombardier Aerospace, Business Aircraft.
“The Bombardier Challenger 300 is ideally suited to the needs of Australian operators. Its impressive 3,100 nautical-mile range (5,741 km) allows it to easily complete missions such as Perth to Auckland, or to connect Sydney to any destination in Japan and Southeast Asia with only one stop,” concludes Mr. Dixon.
Developed following an intensive 24-month market research program with aircraft owners, its all-new design is tailored to market demands for a reliable, cost-efficient, transcontinental business jet with new standards in cabin space.
“The Bombardier Challenger 300 was launched at a time when the term ‘super-midsize business jet’ was just a concept. It is, in fact, the first aircraft developed specifically for this segment,” says Alastair Creighton-Jones, managing director, ExecuJet Australia. “It delivers exceptional short field performance, quick time-to-climb as well as full range capabilities and can easily rise above weather and traffic.”
ExecuJet is the exclusive sales agent for Bombardier Aerospace in Australia, and an authorized service facility for the entire range of Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global families of business jets as well as the Bombardier 415 amphibious aircraft. Based at Sydney International Airport, ExecuJet is also active in business jet charter, business aircraft management and operations, servicing and maintenance.
