First Challenger 850 executive jet completion by Lufthansa Technik
Bombardier Aerospace today premiered the first Challenger 850 executive business jet at the Jet Expo 2006 international business aviation exhibition.
“This first Challenger 850 executive aircraft highlights the ongoing confidence business jet customers have demonstrated in the Challenger widebody aircraft family,” said Jahid Fazal-Karim, senior vice-president, new aircraft sales, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Market interest worldwide is solid for both the executive and shuttle variants of the Challenger 850, particularly in Russia, where there is continued strong demand for executive aircraft.
“In fact, Russian operators are increasingly turning to Bombardier to address all their corporate transport solutions. We are working closely with both Russian operators of Bombardier aircraft and with regulatory bodies to introduce new aircraft and new services that broaden the base of corporate aviation in Russia.”

First of six Challenger 850 jets in completion at Lufthansa Technik
The debut also marked the first Challenger 850 executive aircraft completion by Lufthansa Technik of Hamburg, Germany. The company has over 40 years of experience in VIP completions of large aircraft interiors and offers the latest technology and materials to provide innovative and elegant executive interiors, matching the superb quality of the Challenger 850 aircraft itself. Bombardier and Lufthansa Technik signed an agreement securing completion positions for 17 Challenger 850 executive jets in November 2005.
