Bombardier Commercial Aircraft is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sunder Venkat to the position of Director, Sales – India, effective September 1, 2008. In keeping with Bombardier’s continued focus on India, the Indian commercial aviation market, and our commitment to providing solutions to our airline customers, Mr. Venkat’s base has been established in Bangalore, India, offering the reach to easily access our current and future customers in the entire sub-continent.
Mr. Venkat has accumulated nearly 30 years of aviation business experience, operating out of the United States, and has served India-based airline customers since 1989. Sunder’s wealth of knowledge, experience and in-depth understanding of customer needs, compliments Bombardier's extensive product and services spectrum, and enables it to offer the best solutions to current and future customers in India.
Mr. Venkat holds an MBA from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T-Madras). An ardent aviation enthusiast, he also holds an FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Instrument Rating, and a Seaplane rating.
