Bombardier Aerospace has delivered the first of four 74-seat Q400 high-speed turboprop airliners ordered by Tassili Airlines of Algiers, Algeria.
Tassili Airlines has also placed a firm order for four 35-seat Q200 airliners as previously announced in April 2007.
The Q400 aircraft will fly personnel and supplies from Algiers to oil fields in the southern part of the country while the Q200 turboprops will fly between the various oil fields.
Bombardier has recorded firm orders for 254 Q400 airliners. As of April 30, 2007, 152 of these had been delivered to operators in Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
