Bombardier Earns Listing On U.S. Government's General Services Administration's Awards Schedule

Government Agencies can purchase Evinrude and Johnson Outboards plus Evinrude/Johnson Genuine Parts & Accessories through Federal Program

Bombardier Recreational Products' Boats and Outboard Engines division announces it has received approval for inclusion of its Evinrude® and Johnson® outboards, as well as its Evinrude/Johnson Genuine Parts and Accessories products, in the United States Government's General Services Administration (GSA) Awards Schedule - a clearinghouse catalog of approved suppliers for all federal government agencies.

With the inclusion of Bombardier outboard engine products in the GSA Schedule, Bombardier becomes the first marine engine manufacturer to have outboard engines, plus a full line of parts and accessories products, available on the Schedule. Inclusion in the Schedule will enable contracting officers at any U.S. Government agency to purchase Evinrude and Johnson outboard engines, as well as the genuine parts and accessories products required to support them, without deviating from the Federal Government's Supply Schedule to do so. All products also may be purchased using the GSA's on-line, e-procurement Internet catalog.

GSA's e-procurement Internet site is both a product information resource and an on-line ordering mechanism. Site visitors can learn more about Evinrude and Johnson outboards, as well as parts and accessories products, simply by clicking on photographs of the products posted on the site, which brings up detailed product specifications for the product selected. Once the correct product is identified, the order can be placed and payment is made directly on-line.

"Bombardier is proud to lead the way in making both outboard engines and parts and accessories products available to all our governmental agencies through the GSA's federal procurement program," said Vince McLeod, Manager of Special Accounts and Government Affairs for the Boats and Outboard Engines Division. "Inclusion on the GSA Schedule will make doing business with Bombardier much easier for all governmental agencies, as well as enable Bombardier to better support each governmental agency's needs."

"To be included in the GSA's Awards Schedule and its on-line catalog, companies must demonstrate the GSA will be offered the company's 'most favored customer' status, as well as have the products that meet their needs," McLeod said.

Inclusion of Bombardier Evinrude and Johnson outboard engines and Genuine Parts and Accessories products in the GSA's program solidifies and expands the long-standing relationship between the Evinrude and Johnson brands and the U.S. Governmental agencies that utilize them.

"Bombardier is the leading supplier of outboard engines for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard agencies," said McLeod. "They all depend on the quality of our Evinrude and Johnson outboard engines and trust our products to deliver the durability and reliability they need to support their amphibious activities.
