Bombardier Flexjet Europe and Nautor's Swan team up at the Swan European Regatta 2003

Market leaders strengthen their growing relationship

Bombardier Flexjet® Europe announced today that it will host a Race Day at this year’s Nautor’s Swan European Regatta, to be held in Cowes, Isle of Wight, from June 27 to July 3.

Held biennially and widely recognized as one of Europe’s most prestigious yachting events, the Swan European Regatta brings together an impressive contingent of Nautor’s Swan Yachts for an exciting week of competitive racing.

Scheduled for July 1, “Bombardier Flexjet Race Day” is the latest development in Flexjet Europe’s growing relationship with Nautor’s Swan. Earlier this year, recognizing the strong similiarities between the executive travel and yachting worlds, the two companies joined forces to offer ClubSwan Members access to an exclusive business jet travel service.

Through this service, ClubSwan Members can enjoy guaranteed 24-7 access to a fleet of over 50 Bombardier business jets located across Europe – with no commitment. Aircraft available include the Bombardier Learjet® 31A, Learjet 45, Learjet 60, Challenger® 604 aircraft, as well as other Bombardier aircraft models.

“We are delighted to be working with Bombardier to offer our members access to fast, flexible business jet travel,” stated Leonardo Ferragamo, President, ClubSwan. “Jet Membership is truly an exceptional service which can offer members numerous benefits and outstanding value, and we are pleased to provide them with an opportunity to experience some of its many advantages.

“Whether it be flying to today’s race, to a business meeting or to the port where their yacht it waiting for them, our members can now get where they want to be, quickly, efficiently and in the highest degrees of comfort,” he added.

“Through this agreement, ClubSwan Members can enjoy a taste of what our Jet Membership programme has to offer, such as customized travel, scheduling flexibility, access to over 500 European airports and the peace of mind associated with travelling aboard a Bombardier business jet,” added Dan Maiden, managing director, Bombardier Flexjet Europe.

ClubSwan members can access this service by contacting the Bombardier Flexjet Europe Member Services team and quoting their Membership Card number. Flexjet Europe’s professional team of experts will then work with them to arrange their travel.

Jet Membership from Bombardier Flexjet Europe

Launched in February 2002 to meet the specific needs of European travelers, Bombardier Flexjet Europe’s Jet Membership programme offers customized business jet travel on Europe’s largest, youngest and most modern fleet of aircraft. Unlike fractional ownership programmes, it is based on a minimum purchase of 25 annual flying hours, can be treated as a travel expense and involves a minimum level of commitment (customers are free to exit with as little as three months notice after the first year of flying).

Unlike other programmes in Europe, Jet Membership customers do not specify an aircraft type or particular trip programme when they join – thereby avoiding interchange rates which are typically charged by other offerings. Rather, they contact Flexjet Europe’s Member Services team whenever they want to fly, specify their trip requirements and preferences, and tailor their journey to suit their needs. Each trip is thereby customized to their flying requirements through a single phone call, at no additional charge.

Recently enhanced, the Jet Membership programme features improved service, flexibility and guarantees, and an enlarged European Fixed Price Area. Customers book a business jet and have guaranteed availability – up to 4:00 p.m. the day prior to departure – on the aircraft model best-suited to their trip requirements and budget. Based on ‘Occupied Hours’ pricing
– whereby customers pay only for the hours flown on the aircraft, with no positioning costs – the programme also offers guaranteed access to multiple aircraft and flexible payment terms.

Outside Europe, Jet Membership customers can use their hours for travel in the USA. In Asia-Pacific, Bombardier has also developed an alliance with leading charter operators, offering direct booking via Bombardier Flexjet’s Member Services team in Europe.
