Bombardier Names Harrods Aviation at Stansted as Global Express Authorized Service Facility

Bombardier Aerospace has recently expanded its service coverage for Bombardier Global Express* operators in Europe welcoming Harrods Aviation at Stansted, UK to its worldwide network of Authorized Service Facilities (ASF) for the ultra-long range business jet.

Bombardier Business Aviation Services has an established relationship with Harrods Aviation at Stansted, for service on the Bombardier Challenger* business jet family, and with Harrods’ Luton facility, selected as a Bombardier Global Express ASF on
February 20, 2003.

“Our outstanding relationship and experience with Harrods Aviation in both Luton and Stansted led to the designation of the Stansted site as a Global Express Service Facility,” said Jim Ziegler, vice-president and general manager of Bombardier Business Aviation Services. “Both facilities have consistently demonstrated their extensive capabilities and have contributed to Harrods being recognized as ‘The Best FBO in Europe in 2001 and 2002’. This designation further underscores our commitment to our customers in the UK and Europe,” added Mr. Ziegler.

Harrods Aviation at Stansted was originally formed as part of Metro Business Aviation in 1995. The JAR and FAA-certified repair station is located 35 miles (56 km) north of London in a 33,600-square-foot (10,244 sq.-m) hangar. It employs 135 staff and offers full avionics, powerplant, airframe service and support; as well as aircraft interiors and specialized aircraft detailing. The firm was renamed Harrods Aviation in May of 2003.
