Bombardier Puts European Customers First in Record Numbers

  • Hosts an unprecedented number of business aircraft customers at Regional Maintenance & Operations conference in Berlin
  • Reinforces ongoing commitment to the region of Russia and the CIS with third annual Regional Review for commercial aircraft operators

Bombardier Aerospace has once again geared up for a series of customer-focused events targeted at Europe-based operators. This week, Bombardier Customer Services is hosting a Maintenance & Operations (M&O) conference in Berlin, Germany, tailored for operators of Bombardier business aircraft based in Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Middle East and Africa as well as a Regional Review in Moscow for operators of commercial aircraft based in Russia and the CIS.

Both events provide the Bombardier business and commercial aircraft operator community with the opportunity to meet with senior Bombardier Customer Services leaders and the regionally based service and support teams. Targeted sessions at both events provide operators with a venue to exchange ideas as well as receive updates spanning Bombardier's support initiatives and entire product line of business and commercial aircraft.

"These annual regional conferences are important touch points to validate that our service and support are meeting and exceeding our operators' needs both locally and globally," said Éric Martel, President, Bombardier Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft. "The insights that are shared between operators and us at events as well as day-to-day in the field enable us to increasingly tailor our service and support offerings to a given country or region.

“Over the next 20 years, our 2012 Market Forecast estimates industry deliveries of 5,470 business aircraft and 2,240 commercial aircraft to customers in Europe, Russia and the CIS countries,*” he added.

Regional M&O conference in Europe continues to grow
Following the success of regionally focused events in Frankfurt in 2011 and Amsterdam in 2010, this year's regional conference, held in Berlin from September 25 to 27, drew more than 250 Bombardier business aircraft operators and suppliers. Attracting twice as many participants as last year, this conference in Berlin is the most widely attended M&O in Europe to date.

The fully charged, three-day program features more than 50 hours of technical updates individually tailored to each of Bombardier’s Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft platforms. These, together with operational workshops, online services demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions, are aimed at helping Bombardier operators improve the safety, reliability, and dispatch availability of their respective Bombardier business aircraft.

Commercial aircraft support continues to expand in Russia and the CIS
The Russia and CIS Regional Review, held in Moscow from September 26 to 27 brings together more than 50 representatives from eight operators of Bombardier CRJ regional jets based throughout the region. The Regional Review brings together locally based Bombardier Aerospace Services Russia support personnel, as well as members of the greater Bombardier Customer Services network, with operators, key suppliers and partners.

This year’s two-day event features a series of technical updates including winter and flight operations training as well as updates from Bombardier’s Parts Services team and In-Service Engineering.
