MNG Jet Purchases Global 5000 Business Jet

Bombardier today announced that MNG Jet Havacilik A.S. of Istanbul has placed a firm order for a Global 5000 aircraft, valued at approximately $45 million U.S., based on the 2010 list price for typically equipped aircraft.

“The Global 5000 aircraft is the perfect addition to our current fleet,” said Mehmet Nazif Gunal, President, MNG Jet. “The aircraft combines speed and range, with unparalleled comfort and luxury. This new Global 5000 jet will substantially enhance our business offering as well as provide an effective and important business tool for our own travel requirements.”

Founded in 2008, MNG Jet is a member of the MNG Group. The company currently operates a Challenger 601 aircraft and performs maintenance for executive jets. MNG Jet is expanding its business aviation services to include aircraft management, operations and spare parts distribution.

“The Global aircraft family is a leader in business aviation today and we believe it will be for decades to come,” said Steve Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “We are seeing more and more operators of commercial fleets investing in business jets to meet their very particular and demanding corporate needs. Our comprehensive business jet portfolio ensures we have the right aircraft to meet or surpass their requirements.”

The Global 5000 jet combines superior transatlantic speed with the largest cabin in its market segment. It features high speed internet connectivity and unmatched entertainment options as well as a heads-up flight display system, with one of the largest field-of-view of any business aircraft. With a recent range increase of 400 NM (741 km), the jet can now connect Istanbul-New York, and Istanbul-Seoul non-stop with eight passengers and three crew*.
