Bombardier Aerospace and ExecuJet have delivered a second brand new mid-size Bombardier Learjet* 60 business jet into Australia.
The Bombardier Learjet 60 will be based at ExecuJet’s facilities at Kingsford Smith Airport in Sydney and will be available for charter services. The business jet belongs to a private operator who has outsourced the full management of the aircraft to ExecuJet’s Flight Department.
This delivery reflects a heightened interest in the aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region.
The two deliveries in Australia follow last year’s delivery of a Bombardier Learjet 60 to Subic International Air Charter of the Philippines, a member of the innovative Bombardier Flexjet Asia-Pacific charter network.
“The Bombardier Learjet 60 offers exceptional long-range performance,” said David Dixon, Regional Vice President, Sales, Asia-Pacific, Bombardier Aerospace, Business Aircraft. “The aircraft can fly nonstop from Sydney to Perth, or from Sydney to Singapore with one stop, providing an optimal regional solution for Australian operators”.
The aircraft offers an excellent combination of high-speed performance with exceptional cabin comfort and strong dependability. The Learjet 60 is widely recognized as the quietest midsized jet currently in service, offering virtually unrestricted access to noise sensitive airports. It features a well-equipped galley, well-appointed lavatory and state-of-the-art entertainment system all of which ensures that passengers reach their destination refreshed and ready for business.
“This is great news for our charter clients. We have received numerous requests over the past 12 months for an executive aircraft with a stand up cabin, and longer range.
Our popular Learjet 45 has seen a significant increase in charter activity and having the larger Learjet 60 to complement our fleet will ensure our clients regional travel needs are fully met,” said Alastair Creighton-Jones, Managing Director, ExecuJet Australia.
