World Renowned Golfer Gary Player Joins Bombardier Flexjet Fractional Ownership Program

The World’s Most Traveled Athlete™ Selects Learjet 60 and Unique Flexjet Program Features for Global Transportation Needs

Bombardier Flexjet, the fractional business jet ownership program from Bombardier Aerospace, announced that Gary Player – the most successful international golfer of all time and holder of the title “The World’s Most Traveled Athlete,” having logged over 14 million air miles – has joined the Flexjet program as a fractional jet owner.

“I chose Bombardier because they offer a complete range of private jet travel solutions no matter where I am in the world,” said Mr. Player. “The Learjet 60 offers the perfect blend of performance and value that will serve my demanding travel schedule, whether I am flying within North America or to international destinations,” said Mr. Player.

Ranked by Golf Digest and Golf magazines among the top all-time greatest golfers ever, Mr. Player is one of only five golfers in history to win the Grand Slam of golf. The winner of nine major championships and 163 professional tournaments worldwide over five decades, he continues to traverse the globe, designing golf courses, playing and developing his various business enterprises.

Mr. Player said the Flexjet program represents his first experience as a fractional aircraft owner because it was the first solution that met his requirements for value and flexibility, and will enhance his ability to be effective in his wide-reaching professional and personal interests. He also is taking advantage of the company’s unique lease financing program, marketed under the name Jet Rich Quick.

"We are delighted that someone of Gary Player’s stature and reputation has selected the Flexjet program,” said Flexjet Vice President of Sales Bob Knebel. “It’s also especially fitting that a golfing legend like Gary Player has selected legendary Learjet performance,” Mr. Knebel added.

Mr. Knebel also pointed out that Mr. Player will benefit from other recent new Bombardier Flexjet program enhancements including Versatility Plus, which allows owners to purchase additional hours or realize value from unused hours, and AnyTime Options, which offers additional guaranteed access to larger or smaller aircraft and guaranteed access to more than one jet on the same day.

About Flexjet
Established in 1995 and based in Dallas, Texas, Bombardier Flexjet offers a turnkey program allowing individuals or companies to purchase a share in a Bombardier business jet at a fraction of the full ownership cost. Flexjet owners select the most appropriate aircraft type for their needs, determine the number of hours per year they fly, and purchase shares of the Bombardier business jets starting at a share size of 1/16th (equal to 50 hours flying per year). Flexjet guarantees 24-hour access to its fleet with as little as six hours notice and can fly into 10 times the number of airports available to commercial flights, for maximum travel flexibility. Owners pay predictable monthly management and usage fees, while Bombardier Flexjet manages aircraft maintenance, flight crews, hangars, fuel and insurance on their behalf. Flexjet is the only fractional provider that fields the complete family of Bombardier business jets, including the Learjet 40, Learjet 45, Learjet 60, Challenger 300 and Challenger 604.
