Ecodesign approach

More than 80% of environmental impacts can be determined at the design stage; our ecodesign process ensures we embed the environment at all phases of our product innovation life cycle. Through this approach, we are also making further advancements to eliminate hazardous materials, use energy efficiently and ensure the recyclability and recoverability of our products at the end of their useful life.

Through our leading ecodesign approach, we are optimizing the environmental performance of our aircraft at every stage of the life cycle and communicating their environmental impacts in a transparent and verifiable way. The industry flagship Global 7500 aircraft is the first business jet conceived using this approach, and in June 2020, Bombardier made aviation history when it became the first business jet manufacturer to release an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
