European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland
Bombardier proudly represented Quebec at EBACE, the largest business aviation convention in Europe. During the event, Bombardier had the opportunity to showcase Quebec's know-how and ingenuity on the international scene by launching the Global 8000 aircraft, the industry’s flagship, and by leading the industry in terms of sustainable aviation by presenting its EcoJet research project.
Bombardier’s EcoJet
For many years, Bombardier has actively been involved in the industry’s sustainability efforts and has set itself the goal to be the leader in sustainable aviation. Revealing its EcoJet research project, Bombardier has the objective to reduce emissions by up to 50% through a combination of aerodynamic and propulsion enhancements. The development program for a new aircraft typically requires several hundreds of employees and spans a period of 10 to 15 years.
Global 8000
Bombardier was proud to present the Global 8000 aircraft, the flagship of a new era, during the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition. The Global 8000 private jet stands alone as the world’s fastest and longest-range purpose-built business jet innovatively crafted with the industry’s healthiest cabin. Bombardier designed the new Global 8000 aircraft through a sustainable lens, reflecting our priorities as a company and the priorities of our customers around the world. Testing for the Global 8000 aircraft is under way and the aircraft is expected to enter service in 2025.
