RT-AE-230a.2 | Description of approach to identifying and addressing data security risks in company operations and in its products | Discussion and Analysis | n/a | Bombardier’s cyber security strategy (the strategy) is based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework and its five functions: identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover. The strategy is also influenced by ISO/IEC 27001 and is based on four key pillars: ensuring robust identity management, focusing on doing the fundamentals well, automating cyber decisions through advanced technologies, and creating a culture of cyber security awareness through our employee training program. To address data security risks and to ensure the effectiveness of the strategy and its implementation, we continue to assess the maturity of our cyber program, to benchmark Bombardier against peers, to identify improvement opportunities, and to drive continuous cyber security progress. These actions shape the cyber security budget, investment portfolio, and the talent development plan. Bombardier is also in the process of pursuing Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to provide assurance to our defense industry partners that our systems are correctly configured and secured to protect the data under our control. Bombardier also firmly believes in educating its employees, contractors and partners with the information needed to make good and safe cyber decisions. That is why Bombardier makes regular cyber security awareness mandatory training for all employees. |
